The article challenges a common misconception: that autonomy can be achieved by simply adding AI to existing platforms. Instead, true autonomy requires rethinking the entire stack—infrastructure, data flows, compute at the edge, system architecture, and the surrounding ecosystem that enables continuous learning and adaptation in contested environments.
